The downside of being a cyborg: mechanical failure can cause mental and physical damage.

In this case, the valve on my mask has started whistling erratically. Loudly, too. Enough to wake me up, among others.

Mmmhum.

My hubby's does that too, although it seems to be the cushy gel section doing the whistling. Usually re-seating it works, or making the straps tighter. I think we're on the third mask now; they will send out another one for no apparent charge. (We don't see statements unless there's a problem, so I don't really know.)
