(This may be a corollary of the other laws of Internet Plenipotence, including "There's someone else with your kink", "There's someone weirder", and "Someone is wrong."

The one I posted about, though, showed up in Miss Manners books 20 years ago, so I don't think it was particularly rare even then. Pity!

and instantly adopted all over the Net by people who recognized the behavior... in themselves, as well as others.
