First thunderstorm of the year

Where we are, it was movie-soundtrack thunder, at about 5:17. VERY impressive.

Up here, the rumbles were almost distant enough to be hard to recognize as thunder. I lay awake until the rain came.

We had our second thunderstorm of the year around 1am this morning. A few thunderbumpers followed by a short downpour, what you might call a storm in a teacup :)

There were tons of thunderstorms (with lightning!) at War of the Roses.

We were sitting around in the dance barn joking that the gods were angered by all the grossly out-of-period dances. Only as it turned out, the rain actually DID stop when the OOPs stopped...
