Finished: _Night Train to Rigel_, Timothy Zahn. A pretty good Lone Operative novel, set around an FTL train system. (Nah, it doesn't quite make sense, but the hints are fair and I figured out one plot twist about 5 pages before it was revealed -- that's the sort of pacing that makes me think the author's done a good job.) Enjoyable, especially for the excellent Simak-style laconic dialogue.
