Finished:
_The Steerswoman_, Rosemary Kirstein. I saw Ms. Kirstein at a panel at Boskone, and she seemed to have her head on straight, so I went out to get this book. She's good. A nice, straightforward story set in a pseudo-fantasy world where all is Not As It Seems. Reminds me a little of Pern, a little of Williams' _Ambassador of Progress_, a little of Vinge.
