Five years ago today

At about this time in the morning, we were reloading CNN over and over again, trying to figure out what had happened in New York.

There was a rumour that Danny Lewin, one of the founders of the company -- Akamai -- was on one of the flights that had been hijacked.

It was true.

And now I'm the same age Danny was when he was murdered.

His parents believe he went down fighting. Danny had been in the Israeli Army, in a counter-terrorism unit. I believe it, too.
