has evolved to the point where I can talk my father through adding a new user to his system without once saying "sudo" or "type this".

(My mother's Windows box has died, and while I will eventually do forensics on it and data recovery, she will be sharing Dad's Ubuntu laptop for a while until they get a new machine. I'm hoping that she will discover that everything she needs can be done in Linux (I'm pretty certain that it can) and we won't have to pay a Microsoft tax on that new machine.)
