Fruit is genetic engineering slavery
Jun. 9th, 2010 10:38 amI just ate the fruit of oppression, and it was tasty.
The fruit we eat is the product of the labor of millions of plants. Plants that we have modified, forcing their matings, culling their "less desirable" children, bred in row after row, forcing them to convert more and more of their own bodies into the sugars and starches we crave.
Then we rip out their unborn children and devour them. We pull them out of the earth, we mow them down with machines. We thresh and we sort. I won't even get into the processing.
That was a really nice orange. Now I feel guilty.
