Galaxy Nexus fun
Feb. 27th, 2012 12:58 pmSince I was reminded...
Current state of the Galaxy Nexus: very usable.
I bought the extended (2100mAH) battery. It improves the feel for my big hands, and lasts 20% longer.
I moved to an AOSP ROM (AOKP milestone 3) and am pleased. Not for everybody, though. When WiFi and cell networks are stable, I can get upwards of 7 hours of screen-on time, and carry all day long without a recharge.
CyanogenMod just announced the first test builds of 9 for the GN. These are unusable for most people, but very very fast. When CM9 gets to the stable state, I suspect I will be highly recommending it to everyone.
If you'd like a little more customization in the home screen, I recommend NovaLauncher, just out in a stable release on the Market.
