both by John Birmingham. First two books in an augmented trilogy about the re-emergence of a version of the unseelie court into the modern world, countered by Dave the Champion. Dave is the personification of uncommitted toxic masculinity wish fulfillment.
If it wasn't entirely clear that Birmingham was being extremely sarcastic, this would be extruded crap. I'm finding it quite entertaining.
