I finished it recently. It doesn't have an ending, not even as much as Fellowship of the Ring. Just a note saying "if you want the rest, the next book will be out in the fall."
If you read, and did not like, Doomsday Book and "Fire Watch," then don't read Blackout or its sequel All Clear.
