I'm getting better, but for a while it was like my body was playing host to an invasion of David Cronenberg-style slime parasites. I would cough one up, spit it out and it would flow down the sink to the drain like it was trying to rejoin the motherslug.

Green and chunky is not a good color/texture for anything coming out of your lungs.

Green and chunky sounds like a good reason to see a doctor. I hear that's when you should be requesting antibiotics (and is the only kind of cold where you should request them). I still remember the cold of the olive drab nose blows. The doctor took my word on it (I'd saved a hanky to prove it) and gave me the good drugs.
