Well, the monitor version has DisplayPort inputs as well as HDMI, and it has the equivalent of a $30 USB hub built right in! And of course the TV ignores DCC VESA signalling, so when you want it to shut off you either need to tap a button or wait for the no-input timer.
So I would guesstimate $45 being a reasonable price delta, not $400.
