Mike Mignola is no Warren Ellis, Alan Moore or Neil Gaiman.
Nope, he's got his own voice, and no one else has anything quite like it :-)
I think he gets significantly better, quite fast. Though he will continue to use a lot of the same tropes, so if you get bored of the subject matter, then you might well decide to stop.
