Good quote, but flawed premise: you can't sue somebody for breaking the law. Maybe the author thought he'd fallen through a time warp to 18th century England. ;-)

I could attempt to retrofit this by pointing at the previous history of the strip, in which it is made clear that UberSoft has abrogated many of the governmental powers... but, nah, I don't have that much invested in it.
