I find more worrying that they've managed to quietly move us to a model of subscription, you-must-dial-in applications, with their announcement of a web-accessible Office. The fact that they're not yet charging monthly fees isn't sufficiently reassuring.
So I've long had a theory that I was building up a professional reputation for honesty and forthrightness, and that in order to compromise that I would need a sufficiently large reward. (For the last couple of years it appears my market price is around $40 million. But I digress.)
Suppose Google's _Don't be Evil_ is actually based on the same formulation? They'll try to be good right up until they see World Domination, and then SprOING! out come the rotating knives.
