The downside of being a cyborg: mechanical failure can cause mental and physical damage.

In this case, the valve on my mask has started whistling erratically. Loudly, too. Enough to wake me up, among others.

It's not the seal, it's the valve. I shift between back (no pillow) and both sides (doubled-pillow, face hanging over the edge) all night long.

Ah! Yeah, I don't think I've had that problem, then.

I've had two masks break on me, though, apparently because I had them too tight. When they're too loose, though, they whistle.

And then I have to poke him to get him to wake up and shift the darn thing. It's fun all around at 2am.
