If I get a question wrong in a geek trivia contest, it's often enough because the contest has the wrong answer.

I would have accepted Larry Wall, Tom Christiansen, or Randall Schwartz. Maybe Simon Cozens is well enough known.

I hear you and raise you my first edition, first printing copy of "Programming Perl".

(Now, if only I could get it signed ...)

Somewhere around here I've got a signed (and dog-eared) first edition of K&R.

I agree -- but, context?

There's a reason I choose you as co-conspirator for trivia games. Or maybe you chose me. Whichever way it was. ;)

There's a "How Geeky Are You?" webquiz going around... it appears to think that all geeks are GCS, and even so asks no question that couldn't be answered by a clever high-school student.

I have to make sure I don't end up a cranky old man shouting at the kids.

Write a better one?

(What do you mean "end up"? :P I yell at the kids down the street all the time...)
