Cadbury Creme Eggs are too sweet, made with low-quality milk chocolate on the outside, and are not good for you.

About half the time I've bitten into one, I have had a chocolate splinter pierce my gum. A little bit of blood actually adds a salty metallic tang to help offset the sweetness.

Why do I continue to eat them at all?

It's amazing the kinds of mediocre stuff that we buy that are supposed to be treats. I bought some "chocolate" covered grahams last week. Actually they don't use the word chocolate anymore, they are "fudge" covered, which can mean anything. They don't taste like anything either.

So what's the point? It's supposed to be a treat isn't it?

I suggest buying a high quality product and then eating very little of it. I like Lindt bittersweet bars. I have one segment after dinner. It's about 1/2x1 inch. You get the taste, the after taste and no compromise.

By the way, I looked up real chocolate covered grahams, there are few specialty places that sell them. They go for about $21 per pound. Next time I have a craving I'll buy regular grahams and make some icing for them.
