Interesting LJ quirk

When scanning my friends page:
If there is a post with N comments, I am invited to read N comments.
If it has no comments, I am invited to leave a comment.
If the post is set to no-comments-allowed, the line is missing.

That's not interesting, that's expected.

Interesting bit: if comments have been left but they are screened, then the line is "Read 0 comments".

Nope. For over a year or so, the default on my posts has been "screen if not a friend". I don't think I've ever not unscreened a comment immediately, but I saw too many people getting hit by griefers.

Now you can explain to me why some times the buttons for posting a comment are "Post Comment" and "More Options" while on other times (people?) they are "Post Comment" or "Preview".

On this comment I see the Options button. If I chose that then I get the preview button, but sometimes it is there right from the start.
