Went to the TMBG kids concert (at Berklee: afternoon concert for the kids, evening concert for adults). It felt just like any other TMBG concert, simply focussing on the music from their 4 kids albums plus _Particle Man_, _Istanbul_ and _Doctor Worm_.

Fun. The boys enjoyed it. Everyone liked it except the family sitting next to us, who apparently had never heard of the band and were there by mistake and had their sense of fun and weirdness ripped out and replaced by Folger's Crystals. We noticed.

The evening concert was LOUD. I found I had to put my fingers almost into my ears in order to hear the vocals. Enjoyed the confetti cannons. I think I'm glad I went, but it is possible my tuning may be off in tomorrow's Waytes rehearsal as my right ear isn't quite back to normal yet.

I was worried about it being too loud, based on the pre-show music, so I made paper earplugs for everyone. Thankfully, it was actually a good level and we didn't need them.

And we got free TMBG-logo balloons on the way out after the show!

It looked like Dad forced the two teens to go. The boy just sat and stared blankly at the stage, while the girl watched with her chin on her fist and looked resentful. Dad clapped along a little bit and looked mildly interested. What a loss of a potentially fun time.
