Finished: _Godplayers_, Damien Broderick. It starts off good. The middle is great. And I have no clue what happened in the last third of this book. The back cover contains spoilers, but not useful ones. There's a sequel, _K-Machines_, which I have on order. We'll see.

I was a test reader on an early version of GODPLAYERS. Clue: it helps to have read at least a long review of THE PHYSICS OF IMMORTALITY by Frank Tipler (and to understand why it's a load of pants).
