_The Skewed Throne_, Joshua Palmatier. This is a fantasy set in an approximately Renaissance-level world. There are a bunch of cliches going on, but none obnoxiously intrusive. The conceit is that this is a first-person narrative by a magic-gifted orphan who does not know that she is talented. The word magic is never used.
Overall, it's slight and a bit gimmicky. Not a great story, but competent.
