The setup is unoriginal -- a band of five, four of them thieves, is led by an ex-insurance investigator on missions to strike back for great justice! against oppressors of the people. That's a little like the A-Team, a little like Mission:Impossible. So, why is it good? The writing is excellent. The acting isn't bad. The plots are very good. Oh, and the resident geek was mentioned torrenting Doctor Who the week after the Christmas Special, and he apparently assigns cover identities -- which is why Sarah Jane Smith, Peter Davison, Sylvester McCoy, and Tom Baker are in their group of passports. The producer/writer blogs, too.
We've seen one episode of _The United States of Tara_, which is a comedy about a woman with multiple personalities. Apparently medication controls this for her... and she just decided to stop taking it and see how it goes. The comedy largely lies in the reactions of her family. We'll check out another episode or two.
