The prices for Kendall Square office space are at Manhattan levels. Possibly higher. Like, $75/sq ft on a seven year lease.

So when our lease ran out, we decided to move to cheaper digs: Boston. Right across the river, one-and-a-half T stops down, at Bowdoin Square.

You probably don't know Bowdoin, pronounced "bo-dn". There's really not much there. A courthouse, the Social Security administration offices, an awful lot of police. It's in the middle of a lot of other places in Boston without actually being any of them: it's next to North Station, it's next to Beacon Hill, it's next to MGH, it's near Government Center and it would be a short walk to the Common except that there's a hill in the way.

Last week we packed everything up except the network and server infrastructure. Friday most people worked from home and we moved. Saturday we started moving in, with a break in the middle for lunch at CBC. Sunday my group finished up the network and server infrastructure. Today we let everyone in and waited for complaints.

Turns out all the end-user problems could be fixed with some variation on "plug it in more firmly".

I've been stressing over this for months. Nothing blew up.
