Two more books (short ones) in the Dread Empire series. Investments is a classic physics-trap solved by properly set up cleverness that should make Larry Niven drool. That one features Gareth Martinez, super-competent in all matters except personal relationships. Impersonations is a mystery-action story with Sula stumbling to the correct answers before and after the reader does -- and at least once, pretending to know the twist while the reader is as surprised as she.
