first broken bone
Feb. 8th, 2005 06:55 amMine, not Z's.
I slipped and fell on ice (yes, on the sidewalk; no, I wasn't reading, nor even listening to music) on my way to work yesterday. I managed a decent backwards roll, but I'm still grateful for the balaclava Eliz made for me -- three layers of warmth and protection from winds and sidewalks. On my way down I bent my right hand somewhere. I wish I had been wearing gloves.
Anyway, the tip of my right ring finger is fractured in at least one spot, maybe several. Going to go to the clinic to get it checked out this afternoon. Typing is... frustrating.

Having had hand injuries in the past, I assure you that NSAIDS are your friends against bone pain - don't wait for the pain to start, prevent it, AND, it will pass, AND it will be annoying, AND, having now experienced a broken leg bone, the hand is less of a PITA.
Beware Baby Z - he won't know not to grab at your hand.
