Oh, and a principal is generally a person, while a principle is an ideal. Slightly different.

(Am mildly peeved as a couple of weeks ago I had to inflict this distinction upon a copy-editor who proposed to delete one of the more recondite puns from "Fuller Memorandum" because she wasn't familiar with the latter word.)
