I just ate the fruit of oppression, and it was tasty.

The fruit we eat is the product of the labor of millions of plants. Plants that we have modified, forcing their matings, culling their "less desirable" children, bred in row after row, forcing them to convert more and more of their own bodies into the sugars and starches we crave.

Then we rip out their unborn children and devour them. We pull them out of the earth, we mow them down with machines. We thresh and we sort. I won't even get into the processing.

That was a really nice orange. Now I feel guilty.

That you for linking to this - saves me the trouble. Interestingly, this is a different (recorded) version from the one on the album. I assume you've seen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WFp4kozlOU ?

Yes I have.

Between the orchestration of "I am Cow" and my fondness for "Carrot Juice is Murder" - I've got this terrible desire to find or have created a barbershop version of Carrot Juice - and sing it in competition. :-)

Pam and I did a version (non-barbershop, obviously) of Carrot Juice for a coffeehouse a few months ago. There are others which are "shopp-able" - and then there's Da Vinci's Notebook...

Next time you do that, let me know if you need a bass. :-)

Of course, both of you are better musicians than I am.

Well, I might bring a guitar, and another voice could be fun. Oh, and I'm bringing beer.

And very few of DVN's work is, um, clean enough to sing at barbershop groups. Alas.

Have you listened to the albums? The Life and Times of Mike Fanning, and Bendy's Law are safe enough to play for kids (well, *my* kids, anyway). "Title of the Song". "Three Little Words", "Seaside Lament", "Kingdom in the Sky" should be great. Well, "Three Little Words" might be borderline, depending upon just how stodgy we're talking about.
