doppelgangers among us

dsrtao...Not a true doppelganger. My friend Bridget is six feet tall or so, and it's pure chance that one of the gaggle of 12 year old girls riding* my bus today looked exactly as though she was Bridget at that age. Irish genetics re-asserting themselves, I suppose.
*Not so much riding as chattering, picking each others' pockets (ineptly), laughing, and generally carrying on as though it was their first time on a public conveyance. Perhaps it was. Adult supervision was drastically inadequate: it appears that there were two chaperones for twenty-odd kids. Normally that bus is quiet and not-quite full.

After 5-10 minutes of chattering, Alice looked around and said, "Oh, wait, are we on the city bus?". No, Alice, it's a school bus that isn't yellow, has extra doors and nonstandard seating, and is labeled "Augusta Public Transit".
