_Full Moon Rising_, Keri Arthur
_Paradox_, John Meaney

Hot vampire-on-werewolf action! Hot half-vampire-half-werewolf action! She's got red hair and three billionaire boyfriends! And she's a secret agent! Set in Melbourne! The plot is OK, but we're setting up for a sequel, bigtime! Did I say hot and sweaty supernatural sex?!?!!111!&^%^

Ahem. Just like the last n Laurell Hamilton novels, I found myself skipping the sex scenes to get to the good bits.

On to _Paradox_, which is book one of a (I believe) finished trilogy. The chapters are short and often end at a just-pre-crucial point, which is an interesting method of cliff-hanging. If John W. Campbell Jr. was still alive and editing books in 2000 or so, this is exactly the sort of thing he would have bought. Not bad -- I'm going to acquire the next two novels. (But what is it about? Well, it's sort of a teenage boy loses his parents and develops amazing intellectual and physical prowess while getting involved in a revolutionary movement to overthrow the stultifying oracular mathocracy that rules the planet of Nulapeiron in the year 34--. Um.)

erm... i've read Micah... there were no good bits. (there wasn't enough good sex, but it took up so much of the large-print, double-spaced book that if you skipped it, you got to read the first three pages and the last six.

not impressed.
