And no discussion of data security! They're not even talking about encryption, let alone something that requires the chipped person to give access (like a password). So, as with RFID, all I need is a scanner and a convenient place to hang out and snoop...
This particular piece of "journalism" was so fluffy as to barely qualify for the term, so I'm not sure the abscence of encryption during it is conclusive. I take your point in general, though.
