The first rule of Virtualization Club is that You Need More RAM.

(For non-computationally intense workloads, essentially any modern CPU has enough computrons to run four or five machines. But the RAM that is adequate in a desktop (512MB - 1GB) or a general purpose server (1-2GB) is NOT enough...)

Yeah, I'm in the process of trying to migrate our infrastructure to VMWare. I'm still prepping systems for the first step, and we need to make a storage decision before we proceed, but I already bumped two Dell 2650s to 12GB each (their max) as the first units to get it.

And I'm preparing a new desktop for myself to play with VMWare server, with 4GB.
