Noticed via politics and SF

When I read, I try to believe it. My disbelief is suspended at quite a high level -- it takes a huge whopper to kick me out. Afterwards I will think about it and start to criticize.

When I watch or listen, I can't believe any of it unless I've already thought it through. My inner cynic is turned up to 11.

Now that I think about it, this has been true for me since elementary school.
