I would like to reiterate that the three best technologies ever to be invented are air conditioning, plumbing, and networks. Making those ubiquitous would benefit humanity immensely. I am grateful for what I have.
Mmm, yes. (Don't forget refrigeration, which is air conditioning to a confined space.)
Interestingly, they all involve moving a product from one 'place' to another, which says to me what we really need is teleportation and very smart Maxwell's Daemons.
Hmmmm....so my plan for a fun vacation this summer is go somewhere where there is none or a scarcity of all three...what was I thinking!!!
I once installed some network switches in a girl's bathroom at a school. They were converting it to a wiring closet but had not finished renovations in time for school to start so they insisted we set up on some hastily built shelves next to the stalls. Great technologies converged.
