Mistakes Other People Make

I'm assuming Staples doesn't encourage their IT staff to apply for jobs with other companies on Staples' time, at least. Why the heck wouldn't you get a GoogleMail or Hotmail or j. random ISP mail account and send your resume from there? Because you want to be fired?
Oy.
As an additional idiocy, sending a message consisting only of "What is the hourly rate?" when the advert asks for a cover letter and resume and states that compensation is negotiable...

He was the main programmer for the computer controls, and he felt that spending twelve hours underwater on his own code was a good indication that he had a flair for life critical code.
We both regretfully decided that he was overqualified and too expensive for the job I had open. He would have been fun to work with.

Just as I expect cover letters and resumes to be spell checked -- all the positions at my company require attention to detail.
