I think my sweetie must be less impaired (or more oblivious) than you are; he didn't notice when the power went out last week at 5am. Meanwhile, I heard the UPS at the other end of the house, and it woke me up.

Heh. I was going to post that our "blackout detector" (i.e., UPS) fired at about 5 am this morning, too...but felt outclassed by dsrtao's more intrusive detector.
