There it is!! Thanks! See, I had read this several weeks ago, and appreciated its delicious humorous irony.
Then a couple of weeks ago I was chosen to say the opening words and closing words at the Ethical Society of Boston (a sort of church for non-theists, mostly of Jewish ancestry,) meeting on Sunday. The speaker was from the ACLU, and she was to speak on privacy (or the lack thereof). I wanted to quote Edward Snowden's actual words, after reading the first and fourth amendments to the constitution for the opening words, and then to read this piece to add a lighter touch for the closing words.
But I had forgotten *where* I had read it, and also what it was called. I remembered the tone, but not the details.
And my google-fu was sadly lacking. Oh, I was sad. And I was kicking myself for not bookmarking it, or remembering it better. I'm happy to have found it again; thanks.
