I logged in to www.dice.com to see what the employment situation for sysadmins is like. (I have two positions to fill.)

Picking three keywords -- linux, sysadmin, network -- and Cambridge as the central location, I got two hits. They looked familiar. In fact, they were both *our* jobs, through two different recruiters. One had simply sent in the ad that I had written, and the other had mangled it badly.

Yesterday we found a really great candidate, made him an offer... this morning he rejected it. Well, he already has a job.

Sigh.
