They are not getting the message.

They are currently badmouthing the work done three years ago.

They are clearly setting up for a bunch of confidence tricks.

I am not happy.

I will not buy from them.

You could send a kind note to their report structure?

I was surprised at the lack of documents when they left - as DSR said, no card, no brochures, no hint of follow-up. To be fair, we had made it clear from the beginning that we were not going to sign then and there, we made them skip about 75% of the sales pitch ("We KNOW we need new windows - you don't have to try to tell us how new windows will improve our lives. We just want to know what YOU have and how much YOU want to charge.") But even so, they didn't even follow through with what I'd consider basic business practices - thanking us for our time, leaving contact information, shaking hands, etc. One was looking for his bag, they both went out to their cars to look, the searching guy came back in to say he'd found it and could he use the bathroom, and then after using it he left without comment to us despite us being in the kitchen. The other guy never came back in. And they were in the driveway for a bit using the cellphone (one had said "We should call the office to let them know what's going on" as they got up from the table), then got in the cars and left. It left a bad feeling about their professionalism.

I highly recommend Fred Hancox as a contractor. He will listen to you and give you options. (They did our kitchen, which we wrote about in our yearly newsletter.) See www.hancoxkitchens.com. (If you go to Photo Gallery, Kitchen Remodelling, and then click on "in progress," you can see our kitchen!)

You do have to listen carefully to what he says and let him know exactly what you want - but I have no doubt that you and your beloved can do just that.

It's really too bad that you can't use the folks who've done all of our windows & doors thus far - professional, informative, courteous, and didn't give me grief when I said "Now go away so I can discuss this with my spouse and consider our options"
