dsrtaoThree pounds minus of sweet cherries, heading downhill. Met them with sugar, lime zest, lime juice, and some lemon juice. Exposed to heat for a while, then bottled the resulting fruit-in-syrup. I wonder if it would go well over some clean snow?

Wash some morello cherries - those are the best ones for this purpose.
There is no need to pit them unless you have time on your hands.
Put the cherries in a clean bottle and then fill it with brandy. Cork.
Let it sit in a cool place for at least 3 to 6 months. That is the hard part!
Drink. That is the easy part.
The cherries are delicious served with vanilla icecream.
